Marketing & information-handling disclaimers
This section summarizes how Baselumen (operated by Stacklumen Software) collects and uses the information you provide for marketing and communications. It supplements, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. If there is any conflict regarding personal data, the Privacy Policy controls.
What we collect for marketing
When you submit a form, subscribe to our newsletter, create an account, or otherwise contact us, we may collect your name, email address, and any details you choose to provide, along with limited technical and usage information (such as which emails you open or links you click) used to measure and improve our communications.
How we use it
- Transactional messages — account, security, billing, and service notices necessary to provide the Service. These are not marketing and you cannot opt out of them while you hold an account.
- Marketing messages — product updates, new components, tips, and offers. We send these where you have opted in or where otherwise permitted by law.
- Measurement — aggregate and individual engagement metrics to understand what is useful and to improve our content and targeting.
Consent, lawful basis, and opt-out
By submitting a form or creating an account, you agree to receive service communications and, where indicated, marketing communications. Our lawful basis is your consent and/or our legitimate interest in promoting the Service, as applicable to your jurisdiction. You can withdraw consent and opt out of marketing at any time — use the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email, adjust your preferences, or email apps@stacklumen.com. Opting out of marketing does not stop necessary transactional messages.
Email and marketing providers
We use third-party providers to send and manage communications (for example, an email marketing platform such as Mailchimp) and to process related data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy commitments. These providers act as our processors and are contractually restricted to using the information only to provide their services to us.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing. We share information only with the processors that operate the Service (such as our authentication, payment, hosting, database, and email providers), as described in the Privacy Policy, or where required by law.
Cookies and analytics
We and our providers may use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, to remember preferences, and to measure marketing and site performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Accuracy and retention
Marketing content is provided for general informational purposes and may describe features, pricing, roadmap items, or availability that can change without notice; nothing in our marketing is a warranty or a binding commitment, and the Terms of Service govern the Service actually provided. We retain marketing information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and you may request deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to opt out of marketing. To exercise these rights, contact apps@stacklumen.com. We will respond as required by applicable law.
